Gold tissue paper, string, air, efforts of many people in Tijuana – San Diego
A fleet of Gold hot air balloons are constructed through nomadic workshops with local residents as a public artwork for the transborder region of San Diego and Tijuana. The border-side balloon launch will take place at the bi-national Parque de la Amistad / Friendship Park in Plaza del Faro in Playas, Tijuana and Border Field State Park, San Diego.

Nomadic Atelier
A 25′ in dia inflatable public construction space. The translucent dome was created for the Globos workshops.

In San Diego includes: Migrant Rights Awareness Group (Student Org); Undocumented Students Services at UCSD; University of California, Culture, Art, and Technology (undergraduate students of cultural studies); The Bishop’s School (7th grade art class); New Children’s Museum (visitors), and the Museum of Contemporary Art (visitors and Teen Advisory Board), visitors to the New Children’s Museum (families with children), among others.
In Tijuana, the list includes: Foster housing & Orphanage in Tijuana; Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (undergraduate students of art); Deported Veterans Support House; DACA Dream Act (mother group); and Relaciones inesperadas (intergenerational students of contemporary art), visitors to Museo El Trompo (families with children), among others.
